Dr. Yuxin He, L.Ac , Ph.D., M.D.

Dr. Yuxin He is the founder and president of the Acupuncture & Chinese Medical Center. He is also the Academic Dean, Senior Professor and Clinic Supervisor at the nationally recognized Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin. Dr. He is also a committee member of the Chinese Herbology Examination Development Committee of the NCCAOM.

Dr. He was an associate-professor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Heilongjiang University of TCM (1995). He earned his Degrees and taught in five of China’s top medical schools. He was one of the two post-doctorate researchers in the field of TCM in China prior to 1995, in a program designed for developing excellent high level young scientists and academic leaders in the TCM field in China. He is the author of eight books on Chinese medicine and has published more than a dozen research papers in various professional journals. Because of his outstanding contributions to the advancement of the field, Dr. He has received many awards and honors over the years. Dr. He is reputably one of the leading and most skillful acupuncturists and herbal specialists currently in practice, with more than twenty years of experience. He is particularly well known for his application of Chinese herbal medicine for the treatment of various diseases.Dr. He has studied Western medicine and passed all three steps of the USMLE(United States Medical Licensing Examination) in order to provide truly holistic health care, incorporating elements of both Western and Eastern medicine in his treatments.

Currently, most states require the candidates to have NCCAOM Certification before applying for an Acupuncture License.

There are total three  steps in USMLE. Each of the three Steps of the USMLE complements the others; no Step can stand alone in the assessment of readiness for medical licensure

Zimei Pan is the co-founder and manager of Acupuncture & Chinese Medical Center. She also serves as a clinical supervisor at the Academy of Oriental Medicine. Zimei Pan has excellent teaching, translating and clinic experience. She was Dr. Yaowu Liu’s Master Degree student. She also did research work both in language and teaching with professor Liu. She’s been dedicated to teaching and clinic practice for more than ten years and has earned an excellent reputation in the field. Zimei Pan now practices mainly at the Northwest Clinic location.
